Celebrations were in full swing earlier this month for our cookery team at Couples Resorts. It was time for one of Jamaica’s most anticipated food events in the Caribbean calendar – the Jamaica Observer’s Food Awards. Our Corporate Executive Chef, Stefan Spath was honoured as a Master Chef at the festival.
Hosted on the grounds of Devon house in Kingston, the annual festival (in it’s 15th year) recognised the excellence in food creation, service and event décor.
Stefan, along with four other Executive Chefs from various Resorts including Half Moon and Sandals, was presented with a plaque by Chairman of Sandals Resorts, Butch Stewart.
In addition, Linval Green, our Regional Pastry Chef, was nominated for the Jing Shi Award for Excellence in Pastry.
Congratulations are in order to both Stefan and Linval on these major accolades for being recognised for their incredible skills in the kitchen. They have made all of us at Couples Resorts proud.
Our exotic menus are made up of the freshest ingredients. Our produce is sourced locally from farms and fishermen on the island and our herbs and spices are grown in the resorts lush green gardens. Our chefs aim to provide our guests with an absolute authentic Caribbean island taste with each and every dish on the menu.
